I met Darcy for a walk around Greenlake tonight. As I waited for her to find the elusive parking space, I drifted closer to the daffodils and caught the sun glistening through the leaves.

On Monday nights, I attend one of two knitting groups. Across from one meeting place is this beautiful church which also offers community assistance to the less fortunate. This church reminds me of England and tugs at my heart, increasing my desire for a trip to England.

After shopping at Trader Joe's, I headed home past the University Presbyterian Church where I found this side door littered in graffiti and neglect.

I returned home on Saturday and noticed the plum tree in the backyard is full bloom, which means that plums are just around the corner! Hopefully this year, Melvin the raccoon won't eat them all.

Friday was my last day with Finnley and he watched me prepare to leave from the bed. He intently followed my every move until I made him get off the bed so I could wash the sheets.

As I walked to meet some friends for lunch, I noticed this sign behind one of the restaurants. The contrasting colors and the mis-spelling gave me pause. It was a beautiful day.

I walked down the road from the house I'm watching to the Methodist Church on the corner. These flags drew my attention with thier antics in the wind. I like how they dance to the wind's command.

I'm watching Swat, Kenai and Finnely right now. Last night, Mot came by for some kitty therapy. Kenai and Mot watched "The Amazing Race" together. I think both were calm and settled by the time Mot had to leave for home.

As I drove past into the International District, I noticed this old worn-down building on the corner of the road. It's partially hidden by on off-ramp and progress is slowly erasing the building, but I think at one time it was clean and well-maintained.

Today on my last full day with Jesse, we went on a walk to the nearby park. The sun was shining and the grounds were filled with impromptu Soccer games. Jesse got her fill of sniffing, barking and sightseeing in her neighborhood.
I snapped this photo of Jesse after our walk on our way to Whole Foods for snack.

The owner of the house I am watching is a youth minister and she has some fun toys including this dinosaur. I image he is actually quite nice but just has large teeth!

Mr. Potato Head peeks out from the foliage of my desk plant. My co-workers mess with him on a daily basis and I often find my desk mascot in new unique situations. I do need to get him some accessories though!

Today was another beautiful sunny day in Seattle. I met up with Mot for some shopping in Kirkland and we took advantage of the sunshine by taking a stroll along the waterfront. Kirkland is full of beautiful statues such as these three.

I headed up to Stanwood for my hair appointment and took a few moments to drive along a dead-end road afterwards. I found this red barn and other great views on such a beautiful day. The red barn was a terrific find since the Photo Friday theme is "red" this week.

The piano in the house I'm watching always captures my attention. I wish I could make it sing the way it wants to sing. Unfortunately I can only play the first measure of "The First Noel."
