I was out sick today. Destiny enjoyed this turn of events and slept on me until I woke up around 9 a.m. Then she climbed up to the windowsill to watch the neighbors doing their neighborly duties. She's a fun animal even when she gets herself into a state and hisses at me.

I headed down to Airport Way at lunch after picking up new wiper blades for my car, which I now need to return for ones that aren't broken tomorrow. Along the way, I stopped and took a few pictures of this street which should be thriving but for some reason isn't.

I spent the evening knitting on the back of my Jellybean Cushion. My sheep measuring tape was there to keep me from knitting too much.

My co-worker and I headed out today for a cup of coffee at the "approved' Starbucks. I really only like Chai Lattes from this one particular Starbucks but it's not that close to the office and along the way you pass two others. But some days, you need an "approved" Chai and so the drive is worth it.

It was a beautiful sunrise this morning. I snapped this photo while sitting in stop and go traffic dreaming that I was anywhere than where I was. Then the cars started honking!

Spirit of Eagle...My friend Kim said this when she saw this photo and out of the 104 photos I took today, she selected this one as her favorite and so it becomes my photo of the day.

Today I headed out with the Seattle Flickrites to the opening day at the Olympic Sculpture Park. It was busy and crowded and energizing and beautiful and wonderful. It was the perfect day.

It was a depressing day at work. I am not in the mood to take photos right now but dragged up the energy to quickly snap a shot of the two oranges I did not eat from my lunch. I'm not sure why I packed two citruses but I did.

I caught a glimpse of these stickers on a traffic light pole before work. I quickly snapped a shot of them in the ghostly hours before work when the sun has yet to arise. These look a bit like secrets to me.

Another snowy day, another snowy night. It is all getting a bit old to me as I'm just not used to this kind of weather. I'd adapt if I just knew that this was the wave of the future.

Last night after work, I took the dogs I'm watching on a walk around Capital Hill around snowy, icy sidewalks. It was bitterly cold but the dogs seemed to like the adventure though not so much when they slipped a bit. They do better on the ice though with their four legs versus my two. Once we arrived home, they curled up on their blankets together.

After leaving Meg's house tonight, I noticed that some of the signs down by the docks on Lake Union were already knocked down either by the wind or passerbys. It's supposed to get windy and possibly snowy tonight. I just hope it gets pretty.

I noticed this graffiti as I waited for the bus. I wonder why people feel the need to leave their mark on other people's property. It makes me angry to see people ruining what belongs to someone else.

My obsession with flower washclothes has come to an end as I have run out of yarn in which to make them. The one on the end is a mixture of the remaining yarn from the first five. I like it's hippie way.

I found these pieces of wooden fruit and decided to capture them sitting on the front porch. I'm not sure what I like about them so much but I do remember my Grandmother driving my Mother around Salt Lake City because she HAD to have these pieces of fruit. They've been sitting in the garden storage shack for a few years now though.
