It rained last night and again this morning. The leaves are now soaked. The rain has left, leaving behind pretty images to behold.

We celebrated Kerrie's birthday a bit late at Purlygirls today and I made her a knitted cupcake! Helps keep the calories lower :) Of course I also made her real cupcakes so the calories were negated.

I'm watching a co-worker's cats for the next week and as I walked up to her building today, I spotted this house under construction. I really hope that it will not be torn down so that another apartment building or another townhome can be built in its place. I want the character to remain and the historical beauty to enliven the neighborhood.

I met Meg up at Hilltop Yarn tonight so I could buy supplies for my Purl Scarf. These beautiful colors came home with me. I still need to pick up one more skein at Hilltop East but I have enough to start.

I'm watching a new dog this week. His name is Hugo and he's lived pretty much all over the world. He was born in Paris, France and later moved to Tokyo, New York City and Dallas. He now calls Seattle home and he is quite the character.

The treehouse in the dog's backyard must be from when their owner's three boys were much younger. It provides a glimpse into what this house was like when it was full of noises from children rather than dogs.

While walking the dogs tonight I noticed this metal sunflower along the sidewalk. I like how even in Fall, people in Seattle dream of the sun.

I'm watching some new dogs today and they close to St. Joseph's which I think is a lovely church. I snapped a few photos of it as we walked past and before they could begin their barking frenzy. These dogs do like to talk!
