I watched Finnely last night and took him over to Mot's for a quick visit. I caught him sitting on her bed looking for Pixie the cat. Bad dog!

I've been hard at work on my Sundara yarn sock for ages now! I almost have one sock done and hope to finish it shortly. I hope the second sock doesn't take me as long because I want to wear these socks come Fall!

I went on a quick walk in the dazzling heat today and along the way spotted this water spout. I like the looks of it.

I volunteered at the Food Bank today with some people from work. It was surprisingly more fun than I expected. I'll sign up for this again soon!

I went out to Stanwood to get my hair done today. It is a bit on the bright red side but I'm hoping it tames down quickly. Afterwards, I headed over to Camano Island to visit the yarn shop but I was unable to find it. I did however find this barn.

These lights show such beauty and put out just the littlest of light. Still they are hard to pass by without sneaking a glance.

Some actual vandalizing that I found in the alley behind Finn's house. This kind does make bring a smile to my face. It just shows the ugly side of Urban living.

I'm with the Finn tonight. He is always so excited to see me and it is as if I've been gone FOREVER! He's already been a bundle of energy and has inspected the inside of my purse and bag many times.

The girl told me she had done some vandalizing at the kid's house today. She invited me out to "check it out" and so I did. If only the rest of the world did this kind of vandalizing, the kind the brings a smile to your face and doesn't cause any damage.

Out in the backyard of the kid's house is a garden which one of then tends. He also keeps his model cars out and I think is growing one in this pot!

I'm at my ex-boss's house watching her kids. The older one came over with his wife and child today. They made a lovely dinner and now I'm hiding out in the guest bedroom. I love the excitement of this house but sometimes I need the quiet too.

My Mom and I went to REI tonight to hear Sally Edwards speak about triathlons. On our way back to the parking lot, I spotted their lovely waterfall and got my picture of the day!

As I awoke this morning, I could see the mountains peeking through the clouds. Hopefully the rain will clear up enough so I can actually see the mountains!

Even though I'm not longer taking Spanish, I still carry my dictionary with me everywhere I go since I often find myself thinking of spanish phrases in my head and needing just one perfect word.

I learned while watching Clean Sweep this weekend, that these are not just pretty glass balls, they are Japanese Glass Floats. Finnely's mom has these all over her house and the floats were once used by fishing vessels to mark where their anchors and pots were located.

The car wash on Saturday morning after an early morning bike ride is a refreshing way to start the day. While I didn't get the inside of the car clean, at least the outside looks good!

As I took in the night air from the upstairs deck tonight, I began snapping photos. I glanced up at the sky and noticed how the roof jutted into the frame. I had to catch that image.

I took a bath in the soaker tub tonight at the big house. Surround the tub are these bath toys, toys which must belong to the homeowner's grandchildren. I imagine they make bathtime at Grandma's house so much fun!

These beautiful flowers caught my eye as I went to check on Finnely before heading out for a swim. I love that the flowers are blooming and that the fragrant smell surrounds the neighborhoods.

Finnely's Mom needed to go out of town for a quick trip so I was able to watch him tonight. We had lots of fun playing squirrelly, chasing the cats and barking at leaves. Finn always makes me laugh. If only the world had his view on life, then everyone would be continuously filled with joy!

The part of town that I work in is very industrial and one can often find large pipes and other debris lying around. I like the way these pipes are just hanging out on the side of the road.

On my way back to Queen Anne, I stopped by the train tracks to watch them go by. One of them was parked perfectly beneath this bridge. I love how the lines drag your eyes in and out at the same time.
