I ran 7 delightful miles today. I really enjoy my running group and I'm so happy that I decided to join the group. I'm motivated and am really enjoying myself. Now after the past two weeks, I'm ready to get back on track!

My Grandfather passed away this morning. To help my Mother through her grief, I brought her along to Jack and Lucy's house. These little dogs can certainly provide doggie therapy to anyone!

I've been to the hospital almost everyday this week to visit my Grandfather. His time is closing in on us and I always wonder if each visit is my last. He is a good man and provided me with many, many stories to tell my friends.

I met up with Ginger to discuss the TKGA Master Knitting program at the Village Tea & Yarns Shop. I spotted this beautiful roving and asked the owner if I could take a photo. She graciously allowed me to and WOW! I love the colors!

I think I'm reading the biggest book known to man right now and I am really enjoying it. I picked it up in February but only just started to read it. I even attended the book signing and met the author earlier this year but I guess I need other motivations to start a book than just meeting the author (who was very nice and quite knowledgable).

Zubin was up early this morning and ready for a squirrel hunt. I was feeling a bit giddy and encouraged his play. Screams of "Squirrelie" could be heard coming from the house accented with a bark here and there.

I moved in with Zubin today. I'll live with him for the next 24 days while his parents are off exploring Italy, France and England. I know the next 24 days will be full of fun and squirrel chasing.

After a long day at work, I drove by the park where we sometimes do Yoga. I've been intrigued with the cement basketball court and the old gnarled trees which line its boundaries. It's a surprising place to find in such an industrial area of the city.

This rose has slowly bloomed over the weekend while I watched some of my favorite kids. The rose seemed to awake even a bit quicker than they did each morning. I've forgotten how long young teenagers can sleep. Those were the days.

Nik Nik and the turtle live in the basement of the house I'm currently watching. I talk to them quite a lot since the tv is down there as is the room I sleep in. Nik Nik likes to make a lot of noise at night when he feels that I am not properly paying attention to him. Silly bird!
