Zubin was up early this morning and ready for a squirrel hunt. I was feeling a bit giddy and encouraged his play. Screams of "Squirrelie" could be heard coming from the house accented with a bark here and there.

I moved in with Zubin today. I'll live with him for the next 24 days while his parents are off exploring Italy, France and England. I know the next 24 days will be full of fun and squirrel chasing.

After a long day at work, I drove by the park where we sometimes do Yoga. I've been intrigued with the cement basketball court and the old gnarled trees which line its boundaries. It's a surprising place to find in such an industrial area of the city.

This rose has slowly bloomed over the weekend while I watched some of my favorite kids. The rose seemed to awake even a bit quicker than they did each morning. I've forgotten how long young teenagers can sleep. Those were the days.

Nik Nik and the turtle live in the basement of the house I'm currently watching. I talk to them quite a lot since the tv is down there as is the room I sleep in. Nik Nik likes to make a lot of noise at night when he feels that I am not properly paying attention to him. Silly bird!

The two dogs followed me around as I made dinner tonight. Their little faces peering into mine almost suckered me into giving them some of my food. But I'm stronger than that! OK, OK! So they did get some beef. They liked it.

I headed over to Bainbridge Island today for a yarn shop crawl and lunch with the ladies. It was wonderful and after the rain lifted, the scenery was just gorgeous! What a lovely, lovely day!

Today was dog day! I ended up watching 4 different sets of dogs. The most energetic was Pochi who attacked her toys with a vengeance and wanted to play "Toss" for hours and hours. I caught this image in that one second in which she was holding still.
