I was out sick today. Destiny enjoyed this turn of events and slept on me until I woke up around 9 a.m. Then she climbed up to the windowsill to watch the neighbors doing their neighborly duties. She's a fun animal even when she gets herself into a state and hisses at me.

I headed down to Airport Way at lunch after picking up new wiper blades for my car, which I now need to return for ones that aren't broken tomorrow. Along the way, I stopped and took a few pictures of this street which should be thriving but for some reason isn't.

My co-worker and I headed out today for a cup of coffee at the "approved' Starbucks. I really only like Chai Lattes from this one particular Starbucks but it's not that close to the office and along the way you pass two others. But some days, you need an "approved" Chai and so the drive is worth it.

Spirit of Eagle...My friend Kim said this when she saw this photo and out of the 104 photos I took today, she selected this one as her favorite and so it becomes my photo of the day.
Today I headed out with the Seattle Flickrites to the opening day at the Olympic Sculpture Park. It was busy and crowded and energizing and beautiful and wonderful. It was the perfect day.

Last night after work, I took the dogs I'm watching on a walk around Capital Hill around snowy, icy sidewalks. It was bitterly cold but the dogs seemed to like the adventure though not so much when they slipped a bit. They do better on the ice though with their four legs versus my two. Once we arrived home, they curled up on their blankets together.

I found these pieces of wooden fruit and decided to capture them sitting on the front porch. I'm not sure what I like about them so much but I do remember my Grandmother driving my Mother around Salt Lake City because she HAD to have these pieces of fruit. They've been sitting in the garden storage shack for a few years now though.

Tonight some friends and I went to the EMP for First Thursday. The exhibits were nice and the band was fantastic. On our way out, I noticed the way this sculpture of bendy reflectors relects in the dim light. I love how the reflectors seem to disappear into the night.
